Check from YouTube Studio
Go to YouTube and make sure you're logged in.
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
Select YouTube Studio from the drop-down menu.
In YouTube Studio, click on the Settings button in the left-hand menu (it looks like a gear icon).
Click on the "Account" tab.
If you see your Google account name listed as the channel name, it's a non-branded account.
If it says "Brand Account" (with the name of the Brand Account), your channel is a branded account.
2. Look at the Channel Name
- Non-Branded: If your YouTube channel name is the same as your Google account name (the email address you signed up with), it's a non-branded account.
- Branded: If your channel has a unique name that's different from your Google account name, it's likely a branded account.
3. Check Your Ability to Create More Channels
- Branded Account: If you can create multiple channels under the same Google account (without needing a new Google account), it's a branded account.
- Non-Branded Account: If you can only manage one YouTube channel under your Google account, it's a non-branded account.
4. Check the YouTube Website
- Go to YouTube Settings by clicking on your profile picture and selecting Settings.
- Scroll down and look for the "Account" section.
- If you see the option "Channel" or "Advanced settings", your account is more likely to be a non-branded account. If there's an option for Brand Account, it’s a branded account.
Summary:
- Non-branded: Tied directly to your Google account, and the name is the same as your Google account.
- Branded: A separate channel that you can give a unique name, and you can create multiple channels under the same Google account.
